Crab legs were very good. The prices have gone up.

I have been eating here since I was a child. It recently sold and standards were maintained. Hopefully it was stay great for a long time to come.

The food is great and the AYCE Snow Crab is amazing. The staff is friendly and this restaurant has become a favorite!

Long wait for the food, they run almost out of everything on fridays, and their fry food taste like burnt oil and is bitter, not a good experience

Phenomenal. I've been coming here since I was a kid and we've always enjoyed the value and quality of food. Recently under new management, things have only improved. Amazingly friendly staff make it feel like a high class seafood experience on the coast for a fraction of the price and so much closer to home.

Great place to get actual fresh fish or shellfish. They have chicken tenders and fries for those not into fish, but I recommend the catfish basket to anyone. It's a nice place to get some crab legs, my wife loved the mussels in garlic butter. Tartar sauce is really good!

Seriously good food. Local place, the kind that only locals are aware of. Don't let the informal atmosphere put you off. Great selection of steamed, fried, and broiled seafood. Just thinking about the Orange Roughy makes my mouth water. The best potato salad I have ever had, worth the trip just for that.

Food was amazing.. Nothing around like it. My girlfreind is from New England and she says it's a authentic taste of home.. Put more ocean variety on the menu.. But they're basics are awesome and the Orange roughy was fantastic.. Texture and taste!!

Very nice people. Food is very tasty, great flavor but they need to serve a little more on the lunch plate. Other than that it's a nice, little spot to go to for lunch.

I've been coming up for the past 10 years. I live an hour and a half away and it's worth the trip every time I come up from the southwest suburbs (Shorewood). Everyone here has put a lot of hard work into the restaurant and has breathed new life into it! I hope this place will be here for another 10 years. I've brought friends and family up and I tell everyone I know who loves seafood to come and check the place out. I do joke and say it's my little secret place when I'm in the mood for crab legs. And they have to wear a blindfold in the car. They have snow crab on Tuesdays and King crab on Thursdays and Saturdays. It's worth the trip every time I come up. Again thank you for all the hard work everyone has done. I hope to be up to see you all soon. All of this talk about crab legs is making my mouth water! :-)~

Was our first visit today, food was very good, love the gulf shrimp and dirty rice! My husband had the seafood platter, his only complaint was to much breading on the calamari. The staff is very friendly. Will be back for sure!

The gumbo was awesome. I ordered broiled Walleye and I don't believe that is what I received. Didn't taste like walleye and had stripes. Perch has stripes Walleye doesn't but was still ok. Will definitely go back for the gumbo though.

Just wanted to give a shout out to the Family Fishery. We have eaten there many times and highly recommend the clam chowder. However today I needed to locate a special fish called by the name of "Wahoo". This is a light delicate fish and my wife's favorite so, I called and asked if they could make a special order and the owner/operator Tom said: "let me call you back". 30 seconds later he calls said he would have 2-3 pounds for me Saturday morning, just in time for Mothers day. Really nice people with wonderful food and Service.

I never review ..i am easy to please and love all food. We came today for the all you can eat crab special they advertise, when we got there, they said they didn't have enough crab for all you can eat but they had enough for the 1 1/2 lb meal. Ok no worries they were running out of crab. It happens. We still got the crab meal. My husband was very disappointed. He said the crab was rubbery and the butter is butter they use at movie theaters for the popcorn. We had the clam chowder, which had broken down and was watery and tasted like vinegar. We spent 70$ on our meal and the only thing worth eating was the shrimp our son got. So go there and get the shrimp. I'm sorry to have to write a review and complain but the food was so bad and very expensive I had to write.

We called before making the drive to inquire about the unlimited King crab legs for $60/person. We were told that they did have the offer today. We drove 30 minutes to get there and when we arrived we were told that they only have enough for one King crab dinner at this point and can't offer the unlimited any more today. They didn't offer anything for substitute and never once made mention that they had limited supply when I was on the phone with them. If I could give negative stars I definitely would.

Best kept secret in Chicago! The ONLY place for All You Can Eat KING CRAB!!! Thursday and Saturday nights - you won't find a better deal!Under new ownership and they are doing a fantastic job. They have done some renovations and the place looks great.I love this little family business!

First time back here since the new owner I always come for all yo uh can eat king crab legs and it usually really great this time I felt like I was eating snow crab they where so small and I had to wait 10 to 15 minutes before I could get more sorry I wont be back at 170 buck hell no and the older lady that I believe runs it or owns it is very rude and mean to the employees there

Perch was good, not very busy at 530p on a Friday,. friendly, clean, quick.

Went here during normal business hours and they appeared to be permanently closed.

The shrimp was excellent. Tasted fresh. Very good.

Tried the all you can eat lake perch. Meal arrived with 4 good size pieces and fries.Overall the perch lacked flavor and most of the time was over cooked, had 5 refills. In addition the amount of batter used was a bit more than I would prefer. The coleslaw was watery and too sweet.The staff was very friendly and always attentive with looking to help and keep the restaurant clean.

Tried the Gulf shrimp basket. They were super fresh and came piping hot out of the fryer. Very satisfied considering I was in Maine last week eating fresh seafood!

Sorry, we really wanted to like this place but couldn't find anything to enjoy. After asking questions about the menu since we hadn't been there before I decided on the lobster tail and my husband decided on King crab legs. Turns out they were out of both! Which they didn't mention during our entire conversation! They said they ran out on Saturday.... this was the following Monday 🙁 We won't be back

My sister and I ate here on a Friday night. It was really packed but the line moved fast. The young lady who took our order was very nice. We had jumbo shrimp and seasoned French fries. The food was delishious. Can't wait to come back and try the cheesecake!😁

I love this place! Friendly staff. Everything is delicious. I wish they were closer to our house. I'd go a whole lot more often.

No frills facilities, excellent seafood, decent prices. Order your food at the counter, pick up your silverware and drinks, and they bring your food to the table. Daily specials including "all-you-can-eat" king crab when we went.

Worst place ever.... stay away!!!!!! .... scam and bait about their all-you-can eat..... they will try to charge u more when u taste from another plate or dish.... owner was very rude ..... also a piece of plastic bag was inside the basket and the guy was trying to convince me that it is the backbone of the calamari.... !!!! come on it’s not my first calamari plate... will Never come back again...my advise : STAY AWAY!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂👍😂😂😂

Fast and friendly service and excellent quality. I got a fried seafood platter and it is so good. Fried perfectly and the shrimp, calamari, and fish are fresh or close to it. The side of slaw is tasty and the cocktail and tartar sauces are good. The substituted walleye for my fish for $1 more and it’s really fresh. This hole-in-the-wall is superb.

Had the all you can eat king crab; it was very good. Good food, atmosphere, and staff. I would come again and recommend it to friends and family.

My wife and I tried to come here for a date, and after we drove 30 minutes we pulled up to see a dark building with a hand made cardboard sign on the door. The sign read, "CLOSED. I am not feeling well and I don't have any help. Sorry". I feel bad for this business, and it's an example of how small business owners are hurting during this time period. When they reopen give them a chance and pay them a visit.

Really cleaned this place up under new ownership. But they wouldn't take my Groupon.

I had the fried shrimp lunch special and I have to say it was very good. Their shrimp was the star of the meal with a very light corn meal breading. Yum

They catered for my wedding and were fantastic!! I didn’t get much of a chance to eat, but all of our guests raved with how much they loved the food. Our grandpa still says it was the best wedding he went to and he attributes it all to the amazing food that we had there. Thank you Family Fishery!!!

Lived around here for 37 years and never knew what we were missing! I love fish and if you do too you better not pass it up for 37 years!! This our go to for fish dinners from now on.

Under new ownership and doing great! Went two days ago and everything was awesome. Had shrimp, king crab legs, hush puppies, cod, rice. Everthing was fresh and tasted great! Staff was friendly and helpful with any questions we had. Will definitely be back!!!!

I haven't been there yet. But there are people claim that the restaurant "try to charge" more if you "taste" another plate when you purchase all you can eat king crab or snow crab legs. This is common sense that price is for "Per Person", come on people. Common sense, read the sign first. Dont just show up everywhere and feel like you deserve much more for that much money that you paid. People have to work hard for their money. DISCLAIMER- I'M not owner's friends or relative . I'm just a guy seeing people left their 1 star review after poorly understanding some business's owner's policy. This annoyed me most.

Now for an update !! - - - we went there a few days ago for shrimp. Were astonished to find the place closed on a weekday. Chairs on the tables. Lights off, but no sign in the window to provide some clue as to what is going on. Have they closed all together or are they just closed for vacation? You would think they would post a sign. May be another in a long line of business failures. If that is so, it would be a shame. They seemed to have gotten their act together. Products and service were fine as of recent. I am going to check again next week.

Amazing fried shrimp and everything has a ‘family made’ flair such as the sauces, salads and hush puppies. They even de-tail the shrimp so I don’t have to worry about my two year old digging in on her own plate.

Meh. The sampler was shrimp, fish, and calamari, but everything tasted exactly the same. The lobster bisque wasn't very good at all.

I visited this place for the fresh seafood! For the price is ALL worth it. I got the shrimps and they were huge! But I think I overpaid about $4 when they calculated 1 1/2 lbs realized when I got home. Was dissapointed but I will come back, perhaps I'll order whole pounds to make it easier on the math 😆

Terrible experience. We drove 45mins to enjoy all you can eat king crab legs only to be told they didn't have enough. I even called in advance about seating and the price $59.99 and i was told nothing about them not having enough. They said they would give us one pound and then regular snow crab legs after that. They only put 2 king crab legs on the plate. Certainly was not a pound. Oh yeah they also didn't have any mussels either. Not worth your time or $$$ it's not cheap. Terrible !!!

The seafood and fish are decent. Most of the stuff is fried, which is ok if you like that. I am more of a broiled seafood person, just wish there were more options like that.

Shrimp was DELICIOUS! Coleslaw was some of the best I've had and potato salad was on point! Great price too

I went there with my wife on a recommendation. We found the king and snow crabs to be very delicious. We had hush puppies, veggies, and cole slaw. All was very good. The place is very plain, but the food was very good.
